Title
Amending ORD. 210-18 to expand the scope of professional services provided by SAFEbuilt for the Division of Building Inspection; and declaring an emergency.

Body
SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
ORD. 210-18 of June 5, 2018, authorized an expenditure not to exceed $135,000 for professional services related to plan review activities provided by SAFEbuilt in the Division of Building Inspection. Currently the Division has an open position for a plans examiner and an electrical inspector. While the positions have been advertised, they have not been filled. Building Inspection has a need to expand the scope of professional services provided by SAFEbuilt.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That ORD. 210-18 is hereby amended to expand the scope of professional services provided by SAFEbuilt for the Division of Building Inspection to include Plan Review, and Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Inspections, both residential and commercial.

SECTION 2. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
