Body
This ordinance is regarding contracts for the purchase of safety shoes city-wide. This contract was competitively bid, and it was determined that Michigan Industrial Shoe had the lowest and best shoe pricing for non-public safety employees, while Superior Uniform Sales had the lowest and best shoe pricing for public safety employees. This ordinance authorizes the mayor to enter into a contract with both Michigan Industrial and Superior Uniform for the purchase of safety shoes.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purchase of safety shoes as obligated by bargaining agreements for City of Toledo employees. Both contracts shall be for up to one (1) year with an option to renew for up to one (1) additional year.

SECTION 2. That the expenditure of funds is authorized against proper appropriations set forth in the operating budget, or such other appropriations as the Council may make, and no purchase shall be made unless there is adequate appropriation.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw her warrant or warrants in payment of the obligations authorized above upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
