Title
Authorizing the expenditure of $50,000 from the Utility Administrative Services Fund for the purchase of computers and software; authorizing the mayor to enter into contracts; and declaring an emergency.

Body
The Division of Utility Administration is in need of replacing its desktops and laptops. The Department of Information Communication & Technology is prepared to order Microsoft surface tablet computers, docking stations, surface pens, desktops, monitors, and all miscellaneous items needed. Funds are available within the Utility Administration operating budget.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to accept bids and execute necessary contracts to purchase computers and software for the Division of Utility Administration. Said contracts shall contain such terms and conditions as the mayor may deem requisite and proper and shall be subject to approval by the Director of Law.

SECTION 2. That an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $50,000 is authorized from the Utility Administrative Fund, Account Code 6078-31000-4000524STDSTD, for the purpose of purchasing new computers and software.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to issue her warrant or warrants against the account code identified in Section 2, in an amount not to exceed $50,000 in payment of the obligations incurred pursuant to the above authorized contracts upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage.
