SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 287-17 as amended by Ordinance 10-18, authorized receipt, deposit, appropriation and expenditure of grant funds from the State of Ohio, Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. On August 21, 2018, Toledo Municipal Court received additional funding above the original grant amounts to provide electronic monitoring services for indigent sentenced TMC defendants. This legislation authorizes deposit, appropriation, and expenditure from 2016-10800-3G19738STDSTD and further authorizes execution of amended grant agreements associated with the acceptance of additional funds.

Summary
NOW THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to accept and deposit additional grant funds for the purpose of electronic monitoring services to indigent sentenced Toledo Municipal Court defendants; and is further authorized to execute an amended grant agreement.

SECTION 2. That the expenditure of funds from Account Code 2016-10800-3G19738STDSTD is authorized for the purpose of electronic monitoring services described in Section 1 shall not exceed $73,703.

SECTION 3. That Ordinances 287-17 and 10-18, copies of which is attached as Exhibit 1, are amended to authorize the Finance Director to draw her warrant or warrants against the above referenced account code in payment of the above obligations upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.
