Celebrating Customer Service Week October 1-5, 2018.
Summary
WHEREAS, during the week of October 1st through the 5th, 2018 the City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities will join organizations throughout the nation and from over 60 countries around the world in celebrating Customer Service Week 2018; and
WHEREAS, the week is marked with celebrations, special events, and activities that recognize and reward those who serve customers across all industries and professions; and
WHEREAS, this year the Customer Service Week theme of “Excellence Happens Here!”, will provide unique opportunities for service and support professionals to showcase the important role that Customer Service plays in organizations, and it recognizes that every day, frontline customer service professionals are Service Champions in their customer’s eyes, especially when working in challenging and stressful situations where customers may be angry or frustrated; and
WHEREAS, Monday, October 1st, the Department of Public Utilities will host a special kick-off breakfast to celebrate the week-long celebration with activities to promote comradery with co-workers, to enhance team building skills, and to provide community outreach through a series of fun events; NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Toledo City Council hereby celebrates and recognizes October 1st through October 5th as Customer Service Week 2018.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
