SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department will be able to complete Capital Improvement Projects of roof replacements needed for Fire Stations Seven and Thirteen.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the expenditure of $60,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund, account code 5040-53000-8CP1824FIRERF, for the cost of roof replacement needed for fire stations Seven and Thirteen.
SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes identified in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw her warrant or warrants against the account code listed in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $60,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that this purchase is needed to maintain safe and efficient fire and rescue operations.
