Body
SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes the expenditure of funds from the Division of Solid Waste's Trust Fund for necessary upgrades to the GCCS at the Hoffman Road Landfill. The upgrades are required for operation of the GCCS and to demonstrate and maintain compliance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The upgrades are being completed in phases to balance resources. The first phase of work activities include procurement and installation of a new variable speed drive air compressor and dryer system, including compress air delivery lines and condensate forcemain piping for a portion of the GCCS. SCS Field Services have been selected to complete the work activities for this phase of the project. Funding is authorized under multiple Ordinances to leverage funding for the project. A funding gap of $30,000 was identified for the first phase of required work activities that is being filled from the Solid Waste Trust Fund.
