SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Two (2) Social Service agencies in the Toledo community are in need of additional funding. This ordinance appropriates $150,000 for these two (2) agencies.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to appropriate $150,000 from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account Code 1001-10100-1112001stdstd and the expenditure of same is authorized, for the purpose of funding two (2) Social Service agencies:
Grace Community Center $75,000
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Ohio $75,000

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into any necessary agreements for the purposes listed herein subject to the terms and conditions deemed proper and requisite according to the Director of Law, not to exceed $150,000.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to issue warrant or warrants against the above account code in an amount of $150,000 in payment of all obligations authorized upon presentation of properly approved documentation.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that same must be immediately effective in order to provide additional funding to two (2) Social Service agencies in the Toledo community.
