SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
It is the intent of this ordinance to appropriate an amount not to exceed $110,000 from the Toledo Urban Forestry Trust Fund. This equipment will assist the Division in the backlog of stumps. Sufficient funds are currently available with the Fiscal Year 2018 Department of Public Service Parks, Recreation and Forestry Division Toledo Urban Forestry Trust Fund.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE,Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute any necessary documents for the purchase of two tree stump removal machines pursuant to terms acceptable to the Mayor and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That an amount not to exceed $110,000 is authorized for expenditure from the Toledo Urban Forestry Trust Fund, Account Code 2090-60500-7T71508STDSTD for the purchase of two tree stump removal machines.
SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw her warrant or warrants against the above mentioned Account Code in an amount not to exceed $110,000 in payment of the above authorized obligations upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason of initiating the stump machine purchases as soon as possible.
