SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ohio Emergency Management Agency has awarded the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department a Statewide Search and Rescue (Water) Capability grant not to exceed Six Thousand dollars ($6,000). These funds are to be used to continue to build and sustain the Ohio Region One (eighteen counties of Northwest Ohio) water rescue capability through the purchase of equipment, expendable materials and supplies in accordance with the water rescue equipment list developed by the Water Rescue Technical Advisory Committee.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept and deposit a grant from the Ohio Emergency Management Agency into the Operation Grants Fund, Account Code 2016-53000-3G00153STDSTD to help build Ohio Region One water rescue capability.

SECTION 2. That an amount not to exceed $6,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operations Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-53000-3G00153STDSTD; and further authorizing the expenditure of same for the purpose listed in Section 1.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his or her warrant or warrants against the above Account Code in payment of the above authorized obligation upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it i...
