SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Toledo Police Department has requested and received an additional $76,124.25 in Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund grant funds from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services to conduct drug investigations. The original grant was for $44,643.61 (ORD. 278-17).
There is an in-kind match of $25,375.66 required for this addition to the grant, which will be covered by personnel salaries. The grant funds will increase the department's ability to conduct drug enforcement investigations.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into agreement and to accept and deposit funds from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services from the Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund in the amount of $76,124.25 into the Operation Grants Fund, Account Code 2016-52000-3G00048STDSTD.

SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $76,124.25 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-52000-3G00048STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized to conduct drug investigations.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against the above mentioned Account Code for the additional amount not to exceed $76,124.25 in payment of the obligations hereinabove authorized by the terms of the grant upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
