Title
Authorizing the Mayor and the Commissioner of Purchases and Supplies to contract for various goods, materials and services for up to one (1) year with option to renew for up to one (1) year; and declaring an emergency.

Body
SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Many of the goods and services required for the routine function of the various City of Toledo operations are recurring and expected. Funding is subject to appropriation. Due adherence and consideration will continue to be given to all City Charter requirements.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That upon proper requisition, the Mayor and the Commissioner of Purchasing and Supplies are authorized to contract for and purchase the articles, materials and supplies listed in the attached Addendum A for the use of various activities of the City of Toledo. Each contract shall be for up to one (1) year with an option to renew for up to one (1) additional year.

SECTION 2. That upon proper requisition, the Mayor and the Commissioner of Purchasing and Supplies are authorized to contract for and purchase the services listed in the attached Addendum B for the use of various activities of the City of Toledo. Each service agreement shall be for up to one (1) year with an option to renew for up to one (1) additional year.

SECTION 3. That Council finds and determine that it is in the best interest of the City to waive the competitive bidding process as required under Chapter 187.06 of the Toledo Municipal Code for the purchase of items that are deemed to be single or sole source commodities as listed in the attached Addendum C and the Mayor is authorized to enter into necessary contracts and/or purchase agreements.
