SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has been awarded funding and invited to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for a Hazardous Materials Training Grant to provide funding for the OSHA 8-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Refresher and other hazardous materials courses for governmental employees and environmental personnel. This ordinance authorizes the Mayor to accept the grant and enter into an agreement with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a Cooperative Hazardous Materials Training Grant Agreement with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio upon terms and conditions approved by the Directors of Public Utilities and Law.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept and deposit an amount not to exceed $22,693 into the Operation Grants Fund Account Code 2016-38000-6G10196STDSTD.

SECTION 3. That the appropriation of $22,693 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds in the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-38000-6G10196STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized for Hazardous Materials Training.

SECTION 4. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and execute contracts related to this grant upon such terms and conditions shall be approved by the Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Law.
