SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 381-17 transferred $3,000,000 from the General Fund back to the CIP Fund, reversing the 2016 year-ending transfer. Funds are now available within the CIP Fund for various improvement projects.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That $3,350,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Capital Improvement Fund into proper Account Codes and the expenditure of funds is authorized for various improvement projects:

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to prepare plans and specifications and to enter into contracts after accepting bids in an amount not to exceed $3,350,000 for various improvement projects including such items as labor, materials, real estate incidentals, purchase and acquisition of rights-of-way and easements, and professional services as necessary. Contracts shall contain such terms and conditions as the Mayor may deem requisite and proper and shall be subject to approval by the Director of Law.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against the proper Account Codes upon presentation of properly approved voucher(s) for various improvement projects identified above in an amount not to exceed $3,350,000.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to fund various improvement projects.
