SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The current maintenance work stations used by staff at Water Treatment are outdated, worn, and in some cases no longer meet the ergonomic or functional needs required for safe and efficient work. Over time, frequent use has led to structural wear, reduced stability, and limited workspace, impacting productivity and increasing the risk of workplace injuries.
To maintain high standards of safety, organization, and workflow efficiency, it is necessary to replace these old work station with modern, durable alternatives. New work stations will provide enhanced stability, better storage options, and improved ergonomics, enabling maintenance personnel to carry out their tasks more effectively and with greater comfort.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the appropriation of $39,000 is authorized from the unappropriated balance of the Water Replacement Fund to Account Code 6063-32000-4UC1725STDSTD and the expenditure of the same is authorized for the Division of Water Treatment Maintenance Department Workstations.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and execute the necessary contract(s) for the purpose authorized above, upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Law.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to issue their warrant or warrants against the Account Code listed in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $39,000 in payment of the above-authorized obligations upon pres...
