SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance is to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement for the lease of the 4,114 square foot property at 25 W. Sylvania Ave in Toledo, Ohio. This property is needed to house the Northwest Ohio Bomb Squad.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a five year and one month lease with IBC, Inc. for the property located at 25 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Police and the Director of Law.

SECTION 2. That, subject to annual appropriations, an amount not to exceed $152,500 is authorized for expenditure from the General Fund Account Code 1001-52000-3381002STDSTD for said lease payments.

SECTION 3. That this Council finds and determines it is in the best interest of the City to waive the competitive procurement requirements of TMC Chapter 187 for the reason that the building at 25 W. Sylvania meets the requirements of the Northwest Ohio Bomb Squad.

SECTION 4. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw a warrant or warrants against the above referenced Account Code in payment of the obligations authorized in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $152,500 upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 5. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that i...
