SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Water Reclamation contracted with Jones & Henry Engineers to design and manage the construction of the Chlorination System Renovations Project at the Bay View Water Reclamation Plant. Ordinance Nos. 585-19 and 14-23 provided funding for the design of the Chlorination System Renovations Project. Jones & Henry Engineers through coordination with division staff has completed the design phase and is in the process of bidding the construction phase of the Chlorination System Renovations Project. Jones & Henry Engineers, being the Engineer of Record, will provide Construction Management, Project Inspection, and Professional Services during the construction phase of the Chlorination System Renovations Project. This ordinance will provide an amount not to exceed $1,500,000 to cover the aforementioned activities during the construction phase. The Division will be seeking a loan from the Ohio EPA Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) in the fall of 2023 to fund the total cost of the Chlorination System Renovations Project.
