SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

The City of Toledo now brings forward this Ordinance repealing the current chapter of Toledo Municipal Code, Ch. 1760, Residential Rental Properties and Lead Safety Compliance and enacting a new Ch. 1760, Residential Rental Properties and Lead Safety Compliance. The change is made to reallocate certain roles and responsibilities from the Toledo-Lucas County Health District and its Commissioner to the City of Toledo.

Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That Toledo Municipal Code Chapter 1760, Residential Rental Properties and Lead Safety Compliance, as provided on Exhibit A hereto, is repealed.

SECTION 2. That Toledo Municipal Code Chapter 1760 Residential Rental Properties and Lead Safety Compliance is enacted and shall read as follows:
