SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ordinances 116-17 and 161-17 authorized the City of Toledo to accept and expend $1,351,388 of ODOT and OPWC funding for the widening and reconstruction of the intersection of Central Avenue and Talmadge Road scheduled for 2018. The Village of Ottawa Hills has agreed to pay for their portion of the intersection construction and desires to have an additional section of Talmadge Road resurfaced within the City's project at the Village of Ottawa Hills's expense. The ODOT funding will also cover their portion of the intersection and the OPWC funding will cover a portion of both the intersection reconstruction and the Talmadge Road resurfacing. The Village of Ottawa Hills has committed to reimburse the City of Toledo up to $100,000 for its portion of the cost of these improvements. There is no financial impact to the City of Toledo since Ottawa Hills is funding its portion.
