SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes expending $18,360 for the purchase and implementation of software that will enable the community to more easily make reservations of park shelters, athletic fields, and other park amenities. It will also provide a platform for access to other programmatic offerings. Examples include swim lessons, special events, and other recreation programs developed in the future. The software will also have a component that allows the Department of Parks & Youth Services to establish and run a vibrant volunteer program.

The Parks and Youth Services Department seeks to utilize purchasing consortium pricing to engage in a one-year agreement, with the option for two additional years, with the software provider which allows for annual payments not to exceed $15,000 for the software license.

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a one-year contract with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms utilizing cooperative purchasing agreements for community access software, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Parks and Youth Services and the Director of Law.
