SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement for security system maintenance for the Collins Park Water Treatment Plant. Funding for this has been approved in the Water Treatment Operating Fund.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a three (3) year security system maintenance agreement with an option to renew for two (2) years upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Public Utilities.
SECTION 2. That subject to annual appropriation the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $79,326 per year is authorized from the Water Operating Fund, Account Code 6060-32000-4000500STDSTD for the purpose of providing maintenance to the security system installed at the Collins Water Treatment Plant.
SECTION 3. That this Council finds and determines it is in the best interest of the City to waive the competitive procurement provisions of TMC Chapter 187 for the reason that the current vendor holds the licenses, installed and programmed the security system and is best suited to continue maintaining the subject system.
SECTION 4. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw their warrant or warrants against the account code listed in Section 1 and for the purpose stated therein upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers in an amount not to exceed $79,326 annually over the term of the agreement.
