SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Process control equipment at the Bay View Water Reclamation Plant is essential for automating operations, improving efficiency, maintaining consistent water quality, and ensuring compliance with environmental and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit regulations. This equipment is needed to monitor and regulate NPDES-required parameters such as dissolved oxygen, pH, and flow. The Division of Water Reclamation must replace such equipment when needed, and currently has a need to replace several pieces of Hach process control equipment.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the amount not to exceed $65,000 is authorized for expenditure from the Sanitary Sewer Operating Fund, to Account Code 6070-36000-4000507STDSTD for the purchase of Hach process control equipment for the Bay View Water Reclamation Plant.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purchase of Hach process control equipment for the Bay View Water Reclamation Plant, upon terms and conditions approved by the Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Law.
SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to issue their warrant or warrants against the Account Code identified in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $65,000 in payment of the obligations authorized above upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
