SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

As a part of the recent CIP Improvements at the Collins Park Water Treatment Plant and associated pump stations, a number of improvements have been made or are nearing completion.  The proposed disappropriated monies are available from a number of projects that are a part of the CIP program that are successfully completed for less than the original project estimates.

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                     SECTION 1. That the projects listed in attachment A in the Water Bond Improvement Fund are reduced of encumbrances, disappropriated and closed.

 

                     SECTION 2. That the projects listed in attachment B in the Water Bond Improvement Fund are reduced of encumbrances and disappropriated.

 

                     SECTION 3.  That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage.  The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be effective immediately in order to maintain the supply of potable water to the region in an efficient manner.

 

Vote on emergency clause:  yeas 11, nays 0.
