SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 337-24 authorized the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Bound Tree for the purchase of EMS supplies necessitated by the Advanced Life Support (ALS) services transition from Lucas County to the City of Toledo. This Ordinances amends the amount authorized for this expenditure from approximately $200,000 to $850,000 annually and additionally authorizes the use of OneOhio Opioid funds for the purchase of opioid response supplies.

Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance 337-24 which reads as follows

SECTION 2. That the following annual expenditure totals are authorized from General Fund Account Code 1001-53000-3341002EMSBUR for the purchases authorized in Section 1:

- Year 1 = $155,000
- Year 2 = $162,800
- Year 3 = $170,900

is repealed.

SECTION 2. That a new Section 2 of Ordinance 337-24 is enacted to read as follows

SECTION 2. That subject to annual appropriation the following expenditure totals are authorized from the General Fund Account Code 1001-53000-3341002EMSBUR and Fund and the OneOhio Opioid Fund Account Code 2022-53000-341002STDSTD for the purchases authorized in Section 1:

- Year 1 = $850,000
- Year 2 = $850,000
- Year 3 = $850,000

SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to timely procur...
