Recognizing Officer Allie Missler.
Summary
WHEREAS, on November 10, 2020, Officer Allie Missler and her partner responded to a call to check the safety of a woman along I-280 near Starr Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Officer Missler realizing that the women was in imminent danger sprang into action to stop her from running into traffic and possibly hurting herself or other people; and
WHEREAS, Officer Missler has been a member of the Toledo Police Department since 2019; and
WHEREAS, Officer Missler is a graduate of Whitmer High School and attended the University of Toledo before graduating from The Ohio State University in 2017; and
WHEREAS, Officer Missler was a collegiate athlete and competed in Track and Field events and was awarded All Academic Big-10 Distinguished Scholar; NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That we recognize Officer Allie Missler for the bravery and dedication that she shows to her profession and commend her for her many accomplishments throughout her life.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
