SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Toledo Fire and Rescue's expenditure request of $409,255.44 incorporates $356,932.73 received from a FEMA grant for Emergency Medical Services, a 10% non-federal fund grant matching condition of $35,693.27, and an additional $16,629.44 of CIP funding to offset related LifePak 15 Cardiac Monitor costs; whereas the total COT commitment is $52,322.71, of which $36,000 was previously appropriated from the Capital Improvement Fund in Ordinance 498-21 thereby facilitating the purchase of 11 Lifepak 15 Cardiac Monitors and related equipment.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to accept and deposit a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) into Capital Improvement Fund account 540G-53000-3GA5421STDSTD in an amount not to exceed $356,932.73 to purchase eleven (11) Lifepak 15 Cardiac Monitors and related equipment.
SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $356,932.73 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Capital Improvement Fund to Account Code 540G-53000-3GA5421STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized for the purchase of Lifepak 15 Cardiac Monitors and related equipment.
