Title

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

On October 7, 2025 Toledo City Council passed Ord 464-25 authorizing the Mayor to apply and enter into a $75,000,000 loan agreement with the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account. After the project was put out for bid and no bids were received, it was reviewed by industry experts familiar with the project and determined that the project cost estimates would be closer to $95,000,000.

 

Summary

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

SECTION 1. That Ord. 464-25 is hereby repealed in its entirety.

 

SECTION 2.  That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage.  The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective to repeal and make null and void Ord. 464-25.

 

Vote on emergency clause:  yeas 11, nays 0.
