SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has been awarded funding and is invited to enter into a subgrant agreement with the Great Lakes Commission (GLC), in coordination with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for a U.S. Department of Commerce grant in the amount of $614,147 to be used for the Restoration of the Ottawa River in Jermain Park Project. This ordinance authorizes the mayor to accept, deposit, appropriate and expend up to $614,147 in grant proceeds from the GLC.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the GLC, in coordination with the NOAA for the Restoration of the Ottawa River in Jermain Park Project upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept and deposit grant proceeds from the Great Lakes Commission in an amount not to exceed $614,147 into the Operation Grants Fund, Account Code 2016-38000-6G02022STDSTD, for the purpose of completing work necessary to administer the grant auth...
