SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
By agreement effective November 2, 1999, the District Advisory Committee for the Lucas County General Health District, the Board of Commissioners of Lucas County, Ohio and the cities of Toledo, Maumee, Sylvania, and Oregon established a regional combined health district. The Agreement has been amended periodically for the purposes of adding the City of Waterville, a board member or extending the term of the Agreement. The amended agreement updates census population calculations for cost apportionment, the division of responsibilities for limited in-kind services and the addition of term limits.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute an Amended Agreement between the Chairman of the Lucas County General Health District Advisory Council, the Lucas County Board of Commissioners, and the other Lucas County subdivisions participating in the regional combined health district (the "Agreement") extending the Agreement through 2028, with an option for renewals thereafter, subject to terms and conditions approved by the Mayor and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. Expenditures are authorized from the General Fund subject to appropriations for the purpose authorized in Section 1; and the Director of Finance is authorized to draw a warrant or warrants in payment of the above obligations authorized upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
