SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has filed a request to vacate all that portion of Jefferson Avenue lying between Water Street and the Maumee River, located in the City of Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.
NOW THEREFORE, Be it resolved that:
SECTION 1: That the City Council does hereby declare its intent to vacate all that portion of Jefferson Avenue lying between Water Street and the Maumee River, located in the City of Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, further described below:
Beginning at the intersection of the Southwesterly Right-of-Way of Jefferson Ave and the Harbor Line as established on the Harbor Line Plans approved by the Secretary of War in 1917. Said point also named Harbor Line Point "Jefferson West" on said plans, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Thence Northwesterly on said Southwesterly Right-of-Way of Jefferson Ave a distance of ?220.50 feet to an existing aluminum plate monument set by Griffels Webster as noted in the Plat of "Fort Industry Square Parking".
Thence Northeasterly a distance of ?25.00 feet an existing aluminum plate monument set by Griffels Webster as noted in the Plat of "Fort Industry Square Parking".
Thence continuing Northeasterly, a distance of ?55.00 feet to the intersection of the Northeasterly Right-of-Way of Jefferson Ave.
Thence Southeasterly on said Northeasterly Right-of-Way of Jefferson Ave a distance of ?220.50 feet to the intersection of said Harbor Line.
Thence Southwesterly on said Harbor Line ?80.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
The area described above reflects the Closure of Jefferson Avenue in Ordinance 657-80.
