SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Solid Waste has several rolls off boxes used in the residential disposal area. These boxes are over 20 years old and becoming structurally unsound. This Ordinance authorizes the expenditure of up to $56,000 from the appropriated CIP fund to replace up to six boxes with medium to heavy duty grade boxes. Replacement of these boxes will help facilitate services provided to residents and landfill operations.

Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $56,000 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund, Account Code 5040-24500-8CP2518LNDEQP for the purchase of roll off boxes.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purpose authorized in Section 1, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Public Service and the Director of Law.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw their warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $56,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
