SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes reappropriation of funds from the District Improvement Program for the expenditure of $13,000 for the purchase and installation of a security camera for Joe E. Brown Park. The District Councilwoman supports this project for the immediate safety and protection of residents in the area.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the disappropriation of $13,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund District Improvement Program Account Code 5040-16400-8CP1817DNGPRO, and the appropriation of $13,000 is authorized to the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-52000-8CP1921POLCAM, and the expenditure of same is authorized for the purchase and installation of a security camera for Joe E. Brown Park.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and to execute the necessary contract(s) for the purchase and installation of a security camera for Joe E. Brown Park. Contracts shall contain such terms and conditions as the Mayor may deem requisite and proper and shall be subject to approval by the Chief of Police and the Director of Law.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, property, and for the timely installation of a security camera in Joe E. Brown Park in order to enhance public safety.
