SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Parks, Recreation and Forestry created a grant proposal, which was submitted to the National Recreation and Park Association. The approved grant proposal asked for financial assistance not to exceed $30,000 for an outdoor performing space at Junction Park. Passage of this Ordinance is required to enable the City of Toledo to accept the grant.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into agreements and to accept and deposit grant proceeds in an amount not to exceed $30,000 from the National Recreation and Park Association for the purpose of an outdoor performing space at Junction Park into the Operation Grant Fund, Account Code 2016-60300-7G00181AJUNPK.
SECTION 2. That the sum of $30,000 is appropriated from unappropriated grant proceeds in the Operation Grant Fund into Account Code as listed in Section 1 and the expenditure of same is authorized for an outdoor performing space at Junction Park.
SECTION 3. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purpose authorized in Section 1, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the directors of Public Service and Law.
