Recognizing Alliance Francaise for a $3,500 donation to help rebuild Notre Dame.
Summary
WHEREAS, the Mission of the Alliance Francaise de Toledo is to foster cultural, intellectual, artistic and friendly exchanges between the French-speaking world and our local and regional communities; and
WHEREAS, Alliance Francaise accomplishes their mission by providing a center with classes and resources for the study of the French language and culture and by organizing, promoting, and enjoying, intellectual, and artistic celebrations and social events; and
WHEREAS, Alliance Francaise de Toledo continued mission to connect the people of Northwest Ohio to France by raising and donating $3,500 to the fund to rebuild Notre Dame de Paris, which stands as one of the most recognizable land marks in the city of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That we recognize Alliance Francaise for their commitment to the community and their generous donation to the rebuilding of Notre Dame.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
