Title
Authorizing the appropriation and expenditure of an amount not to exceed $250,000 from the unappropriated balance of the Sewer Replacement Fund for the emergency replacement of the sanitary sewer on Gladstone Avenue; authorizing the mayor to prepare plans and specifications, acquire rights-of-way and easements as appropriate, accept bids and enter into contracts; and declaring an emergency.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance funds the construction of a sewer replacement on Gladstone Avenue. The existing 24-inch sewer is over 100 years old, has had two repairs made in the past few years and is now "oblong" instead of "round" due to its deteriorating condition. Sufficient funds are available within the Sewer Replacement Fund to pay for this replacement.

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $250,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Sewer Replacement Fund into Account Code 6073-35000-4UC1420STDSTD for the Gladstone Avenue Sewer Replacement Project; and the expenditure of the same is authorized.
