SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 585-24 used District Improvement Plan funds to install real time blue light cameras. The Toledo Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center currently contracts with i2C Technologies, Ltd for real time crime cameras throughout the city. In order to maintain compatibility with the current Real Time Crime Center’s system, i2C Technologies, Ltd. Is recommended.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That this Council finds and determines it is in the best interest of the City to waive the competitive bidding requirements of TMC Chapter 187 for the reason that i2C Technologies, Ltd. is the current provider and their blue light cameras are compatible with the current Real Time Crime Center’s system.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property.
Vote on emergency clause: yeas 11, nays 0.
Passed: March 25, 2025, as an emergency measure: yeas 11, nays 0.
