SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The State Capital Bill One-Time Strategic Community Investment has awarded the Department of Fire and Rescue $1,600,000 for station facility repairs. Accordingly, this funding will see said improvements at stations 4, 9, 16, 18, 19, & 24's, of which avails their respective project CIP allocations for tier 2 projects, like the following improvements: windows, HVAC, Plymovent exhausts, and various approach and parking lot repairs.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the State of Ohio and to accept and deposit a grant from the State Capital One-Time Community Investment Fund into the Capital Improvement Fund Code 540G-53000-8GA4523STDSTD in an amount not to exceed $1,600,000 to support Fire and Rescue Department Station facility repairs and improvements.
SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $1,600,000 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Capital Improvement Fund to Account Code 540G-53000-8GA4523STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized to support Fire and Rescue Department Station facility repairs and improvements.
