Title

Authorizing the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $22,036.47 for damage to lease vehicles used by the Division of Urban Beautification; and declaring an emergency.

Body

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

Ordinance 254-19 authorized the Mayor to enter into a contract with Enterprise Fleet Management for vehicle and equipment replacement for the city’s fleet. The Division of Urban Beautification needs to pay for damages to leased equipment under this contract. Two vehicles were involved in accidents and deemed unrepairable.

Summary

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $22,036.47 is authorized for expenditure from the General Fund Account Code 1001-27100-1123001STDSTD for damages to leased vehicles used by the Division of Urban Beautification.

SECTION 2. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above Account Codes in amounts not to exceed $22,036.47 in payment of the above-authorized obligations upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate payment to Enterprise Fleet Management and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to comply with contractual obligations for leased vehicles.
