SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this Ordinance is to authorize an agreement with the Fair Housing Center as the fiscal agent for the Toledo Lead Poisoning Prevention Coalition and to authorize the expenditure of $250,000 for a Lead Resource Center, pursuant to Attachment I. The Lead Resource Center will support the Lead Safe Ordinance by serving as a "One Stop Shop" for lead poisoning prevention, offering resources and services outlined in Attachment II.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Fair Housing Center as the fiscal agent for the Toledo Lead Poisoning Prevention Coalition for the development, operation and staffing of the Lead Resource Center, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Community and Housing Development and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That the expenditure of $250,000 is authorized from the General Fund Account Code 1001-16200-5632005STDSTD for the purpose authorized in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw their warrant or warrants in an amount not to exceed $250,000 from Account Code 1001-16200-5632005STDSTD for the payment of all obligations authorized upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.
