SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Ohio Division of Emergency Medical Services has awarded the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department a Public Safety Grant of $2,944.56 to support Fire Department emergency medical training supply purchases, including, but not limited CPR related equipment, such as adult and pediatric manikin airway trainers

Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept and deposit a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety into the Operation Grants Fund Code 2016-53000-3G04561STDSTD in an amount not to exceed $2,944.56 to support Fire Department emergency medical training supply purchases.

SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $2,944.56 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-53000-3G04561STDSTD and the expenditure of the same for various Fire Department emergency medical training supply purchases.

SECTION 3. That the Mayor is authorized to prepare plans and specifications, to accept bids and enter into contracts necessary to complete purchases authorized in Section 2. Such contract awards may result from competitive bidding practices, cooperative purchasing agreements, or collaborative procurement programs and shall contain such terms and conditions as the Mayor may deem requisite and proper and shall be subject to approval by the Department of Law and the Director of Fire and Rescue.
