SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has awarded Toledo Fire and Rescue a grant totaling $13,899.58 for the purchase of a one-year subscription to the Handtevy program purposed as a resource to assist with patient medical care. Accordingly, the Handtevy application provides end-users care-specific medication dosing, equipment, and related supply recommendations based on applicable operating procedures across various mediums, including cell phones. Additionally, the program time stamps performed procedures for upload to the patient's electronic health record as an accurate timeline of pre-hospital rendered care for timely use by the treating hospital.

In return, as outlined by the related MOU, are several end-of-program reporting outcomes relating to the application's successful impacts on patient treatments, medication deliveries, conducted procedures, and data transfer to treating hospitals, all of which are provided as aggregate totals, and contain no protected health information or personal identifiable information.
