SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo Fire and Rescue Department is eligible to receive a gift card from Art Van Furniture not to exceed Twenty Five Hundred dollars ($2,500.00). This donation is to be used specifically to use towards new furnishings for Fire Station 6. Art Van Furniture would like the firefighters of Fire Station 6 to have this donation to be able to purchase chairs, or any other items that they may need.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept a gift card donation from Art Van Furniture in an amount not to exceed $2,500.00 to provide members of Fire Station 6 with furnishings.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate benefit of the firefighters of Fire Station 6.
