SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Traffic Management needs to renew the Centracs software maintenance agreement which is one of the city's traffic signal software programs used to manage two hundred and fifty intersections within the City of Toledo. This Ordinance authorizes the expenditure of funds needed to purchase the agreement. The total amount to be expended for the purchase is $53,100 which is included in the division's operating budget. The software is used for writing, maintaining timing, and monitoring for any faults for 250 of the City of Toledo signalized intersections. This software is sold by Path Master, which is the sole distributor of Econolite products in the State of Ohio. Centracs software is produced by Econolite.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $53,100 is authorized from the Street Construction Maintenance and Repair Fund Account Code 2014-22500-2413002STDSTD for the purchase of a three-year Centracs Software Maintenance agreement.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract with Path Master Inc. for the purchase of said software maintenance agreement, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Directors of Law and the Department of Transportation.
