SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This expenditure is for the installation of 5G Modems for the Toledo Police Department's Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). The current system is obsolete and is in need of this update to continue operation. Bids were solicited on Planet Bids in 2022 and i2c Technologies, LTD was the winning bidder for the replacement of the RTCC cameras and infrastructure (Ord. 362-22). Therefore, we are requesting waiver of competitive bidding for this phase of the upgrade project.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the amount not to exceed $33,970.00 is authorized for expenditure from the General Fund Account Code 1001/52000/3381002STDSTD for RTCC 5G modems.

SECTION 2. That this Council finds and determines it is in the best interest of the city to waive the competitive bidding requirements of TMC Chapter 187 for the reason that i2c Technologies is the current provider to the Real Time Crime Center for cameras and infrastructure (Ord 362-22).

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw a warrant or warrants against the above referenced Account Code in payment of the obligation authorized in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $33,970.00 and upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.
