SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has been awarded funding and is invited to enter into a grant agreement with the Great Lakes Commission through the Active Adaptive Management Program (AAMP) for the purpose of controlling invasive phragmites on two city properties: Detwiler Marsh and Pontiac Preserve.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into and execute necessary agreements with the Great Lakes Commission (GLC) for purposes of the AAMP phragmites control project upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept and deposit grant proceeds in the amount of $26,000 from the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Operation Grants, Account Code 2016-38000-6G00314STDSTD, for the purpose of completing work necessary to administer the grant.
SECTION 3. That the appropriation of the amount not to exceed $26,000 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds in an amount not to exceed $26,000 is authorized from the Operation Grants Fund into Account Code 2016-38000-6G00314STDSTD, and further authorizing the expenditure of same for the A...
