SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
By agreement effective November 2, 1999, the District Advisory Committee for the Lucas County General Health District, the Board of Commissioners of Lucas County, Ohio and the cities of Toledo, Maumee, Sylvania, and Oregon established a regional combined health district. The Agreement has been amended periodically for the purposes of adding the City of Waterville, a board member or extending the term of the Agreement. The proposed Amended Agreement extends the term until 2030 and outlines the terms and conditions for the City's in-kind services upon the Regional Board of Health's vacation of the Toledo City Building located at 635 N. Erie Street, Toledo, OH 43604.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an Amended Agreement and other needed instruments by and between the Chairman of the Lucas County General Health District Advisory Council, the Lucas County Board of Commissioners, and the other Lucas County subdivisions participating in the regional combined health district (the "Amended Agreement") extending the Amended Agreement through 2030, with an option for renewals thereafter, subject to terms and conditions approved by the Mayor and the Director of Law.
