SUMMARY 7 & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has been awarded a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) entitled the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative ("GLRI") in the amount of $2,600,000 to be used for the Implementation of Improvements to Nearshore Aquatic Habitat in the Lower Ottawa River Project. This ordinance authorizes the mayor to accept, deposit, appropriate and expend up to $2,600,000 in grant proceeds from the EPA. NOW.

Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to execute all necessary Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant documents with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the Implementation of Improvements to Nearshore Aquatic Habitat in the Lower Ottawa River Project upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Public Services and the Director of Law.

SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept and deposit grant proceeds from the EPA's Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant in an amount not to exceed $2,600,000 into the Operation Grants Fund, Account Code 540G-40100-8G02029STDSTD.
