SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo ("Toledo") and the City of Oregon ("Oregon") entered into an Agreement providing a specialized water rate to Clean Energy Future, LLC in 2017, via Ord. 186-17. Toledo wishes now to provide this specialized rate to Toledo Refining Company LLC, which is geographically similar.
All water will be metered. Water provided to either municipality during an emergency will be metered and billed at the first block rate plus a 75% surcharge. Water will be sold to Toledo Refining at a rate equal to 90% of the Second block rate as of the first day of the billing period with no surcharge.
This ordinance authorizes the mayor and the Directors of the Departments of Public Utilities and Law to execute a water agreement between Toledo, Oregon and Toledo Refining Company LLC.
