SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Solid Waste experienced temporary workforce vacancies and other forecasted savings in 2026. This Ordinance authorizes a reappropriation to process remaining forecasted 2026 regulatory disposal fees.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the disappropriation of $375,500 is authorized from the General Fund account codes listed below:

SECTION 2. That the appropriation of an amount not to exceed $375,500 is authorized from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account Code 1001-24500-6232002STDSTD for solid waste disposal fees.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to process regulatory fees.
