Yes, we have been exploring electric mowers as an option for our equipment replacement. Through our research, we found the following website we have been using as a resource:

-Battery Advantage  Russo Power Equipment <https://russopower.com/pages/battery-advantage>

If you scroll down almost to the bottom, there is a graph that shows “Gas vs. Battery Mower Example Cost Comparison”. This graph specifically demonstrates the total cost of ownership and the upfront cost we see right now. The upfront cost is quite high, almost double. However, after a few years of ownership we should expect to see some savings.

We are currently in the process of doing research and gathering more information on how well the electric mowers work and how they compare to their gas equivalent. We had hoped our mowing contractors may have experience with these and asked for their feedback. We made the attached flyer and handed them out at our December mowing event, but unfortunately, we did not hear back from anyone.

We are continuing to explore options and will conduct gas to electric comparisons as mower replacements are requested from our departments.
